Description:
There's a huge mountain blocking your path, and it's too tall to climb. So make sure to put on your winter coat, as you're gonna have to enter a cold, deep cave instead to get to the other side... they say you have power over the water and ice in this cave. What does that mean? Find out in this level!

Hmm. It was decent. No, scratch that, it was amazing, I'm just bewitched, bewildered and bothered. Bewitched by your fantastic idea, bewildered by how you managed to structure everything in the way you did and bothered by the mistakes made.
So, MJJ has had some basic starts to the levels, but this takes the cake for basic starts so far. No challenges whatsoever in the first area, so why even have it? Fortunately, the other side of the pipe was where it got good. Excellent idea with the ice, I must say. The loop around to find the switch to melt the ice (as it appears) was a good challenge too. I spotted your favorite platform to use as a cutoff at 2200x 240y however. Now, I did appreciate the hitting of the blue switch to make the ice reappear (I get it, hot and cold) but I wanted a little bit more from that short stretch. Is it a little too much to ask for that section to be extended? I'll go easy on you for that one I guess... And the challenges from there on the way to the checkpoint were pretty good too I guess. I found it pretty funny watching the fish flop around in the ice though.
The second half of the level. Hmm. Hmmmmmmmm. Ok, it was alright. But I found quite a few flaws. The P-switch rush wasn't very exciting, for starters. Then we got to the iceberg boat which is a great idea but this is where we learn that the defining layer should have been layer 2. Also, the chain scenery is a minor cutoff at the bottom. Again at 5800x, the defining layer should have been layer 2. It looks very strange having Mario be levitated by something you can't see behind the water tiles. I have no further comments on the level, all else seemed well.
So, here's your most well received MJJ level thus far in the series and I'm about to kindly disagree, but this was still a great level. Let's recap:
Pointless beginning (-3)
Minor cutoffs throughout (-3)
Could get more from blue switch stretch...? (-1)
Wrong defining layer (-5)
And that's an 88 from me. Good job nonetheless. I feel kind of bad now.
