Due to being away, it took me a couple of days to finally look at this level. The first thing I noticed about the level was how easy it was. With a fire flower this level becomes a cakewalk because it is flat and heavily relies on enemies. The scenery and the overall level appearance is good, but it doesn't make for a lack of unique gameplay. Since there is little platforming involved and the enemies can be easily dealt with by using the fire flower, there is almost no challenge given. In order to make a level that passes good and can be considered great, or above average, it must have originality. The only thing original I saw in this level was the background, which can easily be copied and pasted onto other levels. You should also try using Layer 2, or L2 as shown in the editor. This is the backbone of scenery in level making and if you want to make your level stand out even more I recommend using it. Overall this level is average, but a good start to making outstanding levels.

Surprisingly had a bit of fun with it. A 30 is definitely too low for the quality presented in the level, but at the same time I can't say I was overly impressed with the level of gameplay either. The design was pretty neat with a fair deal of scenery which happen to fit in place nicely with the background. I mean you missed a cutoff at the end, but overall I know you at least have a good sense of design already. The trees scenery appears to be done incorrectly (See the 'Samples' tab in the level editor for correct example). I'd also encourage the gameplay to be more involved as opposed to the typical game of hurdling over enemies. Know when to switch things up to keep a decent flow going, as well as balancing it out aesthetically by including pits too. Stick to that formula, and you'd be mastering the art in no time.

Gameplay:
The gameplay in this level is somewhat boring and very easily cheesed when you pick up the fire flower, allowing for almost every enemy in this level to be obliterated, thanks to the lack of height variation and with there being no holes in the entire level. The enemies in this level were very poorly placed, with almost all of them being on the ground, even the piranha plants. The clouds in this level were a pain to go in front of, when they're taking up a lot of potential space the player should be able to go on. Speaking about that, the majority of this level has very cramped gameplay, where the player can not navigate around too much, especially the last 700x. Yeah, that's the worst part of the level with the stupidly enclosed space and most of the enemies being cheesed by the fire flower again. The chuck in that last 700x space is VERY poorly placed, blocking most of the space if you somehow lost that fire flower. Most of the gameplay in this level just feels very sloppy and rushed in a way, with almost every enemy placed on the ground.

Design:
The design in this level is below average. The background in this level fits with nothing. It clashed with almost everything else in this level. You should have gone for a forest-like background, since it would fit the tiles greatly. A night time forest background would be a very great improvement to the design, see for yourself with this link to the custom BG.

Aside from that, some aspects of the level design clash as well. The clouds in this level greatly clash with the ground tiles, it just looks very out of place and rushed in the last five minutes.

Scenery:
Believe it or not, the scenery actually fits quite nicely with this level. Tree tiles, bushes, grass inside the ground and monty mole holes. Arrows, those green plant stem things, everything fits quite nicely.

Originality:
This level is lacking in originality. A Grassland-Forest hybrid is what I would call this, the first half of that seen in thousands of levels. The scenery sort-of makes up for that, I suppose.

Overall:
Massively cheesed gameplay. Below average design. Decent scenery. Not that original, apart from the clashing background in this level.

I give this a 30/100 and a Medium difficulty.

Very good, i loved the little challenges with the koopas, where if you wanted to take their shells, it would be hard. Plus, the scenery looks nice. I feel like the level was a bit cheesed by that early fire flower, causing most of the enemies to be easily killed from a distance. This felt like a classic level, from the original. Not mario 3 or world. Their levels felt a bit dynamic. Very fun to play, and fun to learn how to play. Yours was fun, but it felt a bit lacking in the exciting factor. Great level to return to though.
