• Description: The start of a six part level series exploring more of Bowser's Castle than just lava pits and thwomps. Part one features the outside of the castle. Inspired by the early Castlevania games, Mario must explore all of Bowser's Castle and defeat the koopa king before he turns everyone in the world into breakable bricks.

This is my first level that I've actually cared about enough to publish. There will be more of this soon, just much longer and bigger levels.

Quite flat, repetitive, and lacking in scenery. Reset warps were annoying too.

Music didn't really fit either, it's more for a haunted forest/mansion or smth

A pretty basic level, that's all. It felt like a standard Nintendo level with nothing particularly interesting. Gameplay was pretty linear, just a straight path with some enemies all the way to the end, that's all. The scenery was there, but it was unfortunately kept to a minimum. The goal was placed a few platform tiles too high, as Mario was able to walk within the solid tiles upon completing the level. Lastly, it was kinda evil how you purposely set the wrap pipes such that Mario gets sent to the start upon entering one of them. However, I won't deduct points for this as it was clear that the pipes are not meant to be entered considering the layout of the level.

Apart from said glitch with the goal point, the level was playable even though it's extremely basic.
