Story: 26/40

The thing that makes this level stand out story-wise is how it's told: rather visually instead through text boxes. Well, it did have a text box containing a thanking message. That added a nice ending to the feel. Although not everyone will be able to abstract away from the lack of text to guide the story, which even I had a hard time at doing so.

Atmosphere: 20/25

I must say, as far as SMF2 level styles evolved through all its years, this level really gets the picture quite accurately, from the tacky tiling from teh beginning to more complex tiling and decorating in the end. I understand why default music was used, though it's a great fit for the beginning. As for the ending, you could take advantage and use a custom music that sounds like a goodbye. Still, pretty good effort here.

General: 17/35

Gameplay wise, this level wasn't exactly the best. It felt dull and rather empty in terms of challenges and obstacles. There were some interaction with some enemies here and there but even those felt redundant and can be skipped. It also felt like a short experience.

You actually did very well telling the story of this level. The title reads all, it's the end of an era and you have sort of a flashback tour to show that within the level. This is a strong example of how to tell a story without using loads of textboxes. Your textbox didn't really add to the story in this case, either (which is fine!) and further shows the power of the theme design to tell the story. I do wish that we could have had a bit more of the story told, but it's not too big a deal.
A lot of this of course comes under the atmosphere. The tiling was pretty spectacular. Ordinarily this might be deemed messy but this is a case where I felt it actually contributed, rather than the maker just showing off they can do. It's all kind of dreamy that way, which I loved. Neat little things like having the level run in compatibility mode, as if the game is on its last legs and is soon to be forever switched off, were fantastic.
I do just wish there could have been some more to the level in terms of playing through it. It was fun to play for the tour of memories, but it wasn't all that fun to play for the challenges. The first section had no real challenges, and a bit of waiting around for platforms, which wasn't good. Even when the enemies started appearing, they were scarce, and the only one that really had anything clever was the thwimp in the castle. Scenery was good, though. I could have considered it messy given how many themes we sometimes see on the screen at one given point, but it's passable for this style.

Pretty much a blast to the past, no? Y'know, i really liked the fact you loaded this in compatability mode just for the sake of it, added quite some spark to it. You clearly were telling the story of the community on pouetpu games, resembling how levels pretty much were made back then. the level had quite nice touches to it and a word of thanks to the despised person who made the community possible. It didn't have much of a twist or huge giveaway of a story for any person, but whatever i saw did, with the dream of looking ahead in front, unwritten.

Ye you nailed it down pretty well... The tile usage, simple backgrounds... PHOTOBUCKET... maybe a more touching song would've helped though and only OG smf2 tiles at the start to give it more of a spark, other than that: the atmosphere resembled everything extremely well and gave extra power to the simplicity of the level.

Level in General
Eh the level in general wasn't the best though; the challenges or immersion into the story was minimal and all that happend was taking a trip really. It wasn't anything too boring, but the gameplay didn't have any really good challenges and often felt quite inexistent. The power of your level shifted mainly to atmosphere and story while the components of a proper gameplay weren't structured well enough.

Final Score
Strong in atmosphere and story: trying to hit people subjectively, quite controversial maybe even! gameplay... hmmm nah. We end up with:

This level unfortunately was too short and rushable so the theme didn't really sink in (for example, there wasn't room for music changes.) Nice idea and visuals though.

Well, what a way to make the final level, even when there are newer chapters in life. Of course, I really liked the over-the-top scenery after warping the first time. The level is based more on the scenery portions than it does with the gameplay. Basically, it's one of the best final levels I can possibly play as the final year of flash rolls on.

The only con in this level is the lack of monsters in the beginning stages of the level.

Good work, Enzone!

It could've been much better imo, but it's still a good level. Nothing much to say, have a 95% and a medium difficutly.

A nice goodbye. The visual were nothing short of stunning, and the difficulty curve is a pleasant one. It's an experience I am glad I get to have.

the level was astoundingly beautiful, with such abstract and colorful locals, there was a decent challenge too, with good usage of the pallets you had, but there was a lack of challenge in the first area. realllly good, 95/100.

First, the visual was really good. It was colorful with many things to see especially the first part the constant changing places were also good, and the level design was good too. But I hope that the level itself was longer.
