What Others are Saying

So, I'm not following this rate rule, as it just allows you to get a Gold rating just by an easy level. I'm rating this based on how good I think this level is instead.

The design had decent parts to it. You had some cacti around to make this place not look as drab. However, while there was scenery, on the ground, you seemed to just give up on ground deco after the beginning and then attempt to get it back at the end, which didn't really work. There are also sections were you can't tell what bricks are scenery and which bricks are solid, something you need to get a handle on. There are also visual cutoffs you have to deal with, such as the color change of the bricks at X:220 and the brick the bullet blaster is on right before the goalpost.

Most of the obstacles before the CP seem to follow a rather generic form of gameplay. There's enemies, followed by more enemies, followed by more enemies. Not the most interesting or fun thing I've played. Also, the ice flower in this level just makes everything at the beginning really easy (something that will lower your score, not raise it as the rules state), allowing Mario to blast through the obstacles, where even the chucks and hammer bros can be ignored as soon as they freeze.

After the CP (and slightly before) is the bullet bill overload that everybody has been talking about earlier. I will agree with everybody who has complained about these bullet bills. Except I just went over the bullet bills completely ignoring how difficult the bottom could have been. Overall, had some okay bits, but the technical issues in this level really don't help, and the gameplay isn't the most fun thing I've seen.

Final Difficulty: Very Easy (would have been an 88 on your scale)
Final Rating: 73/100

Nice level. The design is pretty good, taking you everywhere. The scenery was also pretty decent, definitely fitting for a desert. My main problem with this level is the slight enemy overload, what makes this level artificially difficult. You could especially see this with the bullet bills. The challenges were also a tiny bit repetitive too be fair. Nothing much else, it was a pretty ordinary level.

Overal, I'll give this level a 80/100. Pretty good!

Excellent scenery and beautiful design, but I don't like the enemy overload (especially the bullets from the cannons). The custom music is very fitting and I loved the gameplay. You need to be careful with some of the desert brick and mortar tiles because some of them can be full solid or semi solid.

The top strategy is to not place too many bullet cannons close to each other, otherwise it's a bullet hell to deal with.

My rate is 85 out of 100

The level has nice scenery and design. I don't like the fact that there are too many opponents, i.e. bullet bill. Challenges are even cool and challenging. Some opponents are boring.

to improve:

less enemies for it less repetitive;

I like:

great scenery;
good challenges.

Not bad!

There is a bit of poor enemy placement, especially at the beginning. The level has slight elements of repetitiveness as a few challenges were repeated. Other than that, good job.

a 90/100
