I'm obsessed with the way the whole tiling looks, but that's not important. I love those stupid little blocks, too.

Overall it's so easy and kinda empty.

Perhaps try making non-traditional levels, like puzzle levels, speed runs, trolls, kaizos, etc. (Personally, I find the funnest levels to be levels that are not just a boring old side scrolling adventure that consists of stomping on enemies) My favorite types of levels are actually the random and confusing levels that don't make any sense and are just weird. They are so funny and a blast to play through. It seems that the majority of the levels that get published here are traditional...

I like your way of choosing the tiles and background but the level was still pretty bland, some parts were like that you were lazy of building this that you decided to make empty areas with no challenges on them. There's not that much of scenery when it comes to outside areas in Map #1 and it was short but I do like the cave ON/OFF section though. Of course, this is your first published level. I can see that you have more levels to show us.

Kind of impressive first level, your tiling placement is very promising but it lacked gameplay as it was very bland, but you have lots of potential to become a great level creator.

Pretty much what you'd expect from a first level. One thing I noticed is the level's very bland a lot of the time. The gameplay is extremely scarce because there are just not a whole lot of enemies or challenges in general. It feels like a generic night-time grassland level if you took away almost all the challenges and kept one piranha plant and a few ground obstacles. At least the underground subarea had a switcharoo challenge but even that wasn't enough to compensate for the overall blandness. Try to add more enemies and challenges to your level.
