• Description: With the Death of Flash, I can no longer continue my old SMF3 levels. So, I have restarted my creation of Mario worlds, with of course a good old fashion 1-1. I hope you Enjoy and rate honestly.

    As Genaric as it may be, I feel like a 1-1 should be pretty Genaric, but I appreciate your responses.

Do people still remember the whole GGA trend? Anyway, this was a classic generic grassland level, which means it isn't bad, but it's not interesting either. The secrets (dragon coins, p-switch, etc.) were nice but the challenges overall were pretty bland, owing to the uninspired enemy placement. The enemies were placed so that you could just run away from them and beat the level, rather than having to use your brain at all. Using the y-space more can help, and so can adding obstacles that aren't enemies.

Overall, a decent 1-1 level but it falls into the trap of being bland and generic.

The scenery isn't close to overdone lmao don't listen to redwolf018 he's a dumb 5 year old with not a clue what he's talking about but anyway, the level is mainly lacking interesting challenges and was easily rushable, the blue shell doesn't fit the theme of grassland either. As far as the scenery goes I recommend that you try to incorporate more variety with it instead of reusing bushes. A good way is to add taller scenery which would be great for filling up empty space thus make the visuals look more "full" without necessarily going overboard. More interesting enemy placement would go a long way too.

I think the scenery is a bit too overdone, and the shell power-up is kinda too overpowered in this kind of area. Not bad nothing less.

Edit: @babayaga. I said overdone because I feel like there is bit too much decoration. And I said a bit btw.
